8 New Year’s resolutions I would make if I were to bother

I really have never made new year's resolutions. It seems so silly. I am still the same person I was on December 31st. I’ve lived for more than a few years in two places now and in both places it's likely to be the same temperature on the last day in December as it is on the first day in January. It still looks like Christmas everywhere because of all the over commercialization of the holiday and with the exception of the year on the checks [most of us don't write anymore because we do everything digitally these days] not much changes. For some reason this year though I woke up on the first and this is what appeared on the page.
1 Stop judging. Covered that one in the last blog, scroll down.
2 Write something everyday. Even if you're not a writer per se, it's good for you because it's gets the thoughts that chase each other around in your head on to something you can look at. Then you can decide if the thought is worth further entertaining or not.
3 What's good?  Look for what's good, it's more important than what's bad.
4 Approve of everything you do. Even the "bad" stuff because a. someone will tell you it's not that bad and you should embrace it and b. someone else is doing something worse. Much worse. And somebody loves them [and you] anyway.
5 Focus focus FOCUS. If you get what you focus on then thoughts are too powerful to allow to run unchecked. No indulgences in angry thoughts. Only positive thoughts are allowed head time. Negative thoughts will be thanked for their entertainment value and told to flip off in the nicest way possible of course.
6 Stop "should-ing" on you. It's ok if the floor gets swept at 4 instead of 8 your spouse can deal. It's ok if nothing on your flipping to-do list gets done for the day, you'll get there. More stuff gets done when you accept that today maybe nothing gets done. Somehow it takes the pressure to be something off and allows for flow. Flow usually doesn't happen with anything when you believe you should be doing something else.
7 Do not take anything personally. Goes without saying on bad stuff but truly even the good stuff probably has less to do with you than some stuff in someone else's head.
8 YOU MATTER!
