I have been remiss in shooting and posting tutorials. Sorry about that. My biggest challenge is figuring out what will be beneficial to shoot for tutorials. If you have requests feel free to leave a comment with your inquiry. Even if you don't want a full video but have a quick question don't hesitate to use the comment section. Both of these videos use an inside/outside leg hang best known as the brass monkey hold. I call it backwards inside leg hang because as you can see the "in-side" of the body closest to the pole is on the pole but the leg hook only wraps at two contact points instead of the 3 [POCs] of the traditional inside leg hang. This is a later version of a brass monkey entry. When it first came on the scene most people either got into the move from a half mast flag up into elbow grip, a crucifix into elbow grip or a shoulder mount. This is none of those entries. This was shot for a friend who at the moment cannot shoulder mount and wanted a way to get into brass monkey without the elbow grip hold. The flight attendant is a variation of a brass monkey in that it uses the same leg hold. |
