You can almost call this one the opposite of the lightning bolt which we learned a few weeks ago. That one was also built off of genie and the difference is that instead of holding the top leg for the lightning bolt we're holding the bottom leg for the compass. This move requires both hamstring flexibility and strength. The leg curled around the pole is what will help you feel most secure but make sure you're squeezing tightly with both your hand and leg. Anytime you are curling your leg around the pole remember that it's like hamstring curls at the traditional gym. Remember if you are in proper position it should not be necessary to pull with your hand on your leg your leg should easily go behind your head and just kind of meet your hand there.
