This is called the floating star pole dance tutorial. It's a stand alone pose but can be made into another pose with a small shift. Be mindful of your shoulders; it is helpful to make sure you are very warmed up and you have practiced having your shoulder behind the pole while you are still on the ground so you know that your shoulder can handle it in the air. As always listen to your body and if it hurts, don't do it. You will notice I only show how to do this with my left shoulder back. My right would not tolerate this pose at the time of shooting. It is still in recovery. I offer private lessons in pole, floor work/dance and stretching for splits. Text or call 410 868 7957 for more information.
